Dear Santa,
I know that my letter this year is a little late since Christmas is only one week away now. I apologize for my tardiness.
This year:
I do not ask for “tolerance”. That is just a word used by those who expect you to accept them - even though they do not accept you. Instead, I ask that those who call for “tolerance” become more tolerant of others.
I do not ask for “peace”. That is just a word used by those who want to get along - but only if you do what they want you to do. Instead, I ask that those who call for “peace” stop using violent words and deeds to force others to feel as they do.
I do not ask for “love”. That is just a word used by the hateful people to disguise their contempt. Instead, I ask that those who call for “love” stop being so hateful.
I do not ask for “kindness”. That is just a word used by those who do not undertand. Instead, I ask that those who call for “kindness” learn that kindness can sometimes be cruel and that what appears to be cruel can sometimes be the kindest thing of all.
I do not ask for “understanding”. Man ceded his ability to think over to machines and no longer can. Instead, I ask for reason - that we learn to do this once again.
Merry Christmas and God bless.
